A very common cause of gate automation failure

If you gate stoped working at all or it does strange things, like stops in the middle of the way or closing and bouncing back, the reason could be the controller insect or water damage. During gate automation repair it worth to check the controller from all sides. Sometimes the face side looks perfect, but the other side has a lot of dried slugs on it. If a slug start crawling on the board it can short the contacts. Slugs are very conductive so they easily get shocked and before they completely dried they shorting the contacts. It causes the gate doing funny things. Or it can blow a fuse on a board or even can be a reason of tripping an RCD inside the switch board.

If the slug dried, the boar can start working fine. But in wet weather it can get humidity and start causing issues again.
