Using coaxial cable for Farfisa audio intercom installation
Today I replaced video intercom with audio one. There was coaxial cable between the camera and screen inside. I use the core wire to connect P1 and 1 contacts of the outside station and the handset and screening earth wire to connect “-“ and “3” contacts of the gate station and the handset. Worked perfect. Sometimes if you use just security cable or cat5 you can hear background sounds. Farfisa intercoms has no filter to cut all low frequency 230v background. So it is very important to use good quality screened cable. Two core is enough.
