The MD11ED is a more modern device. It requires only two wires for connection between the gate station and the handset. This simplified wiring makes installation easier and reduces potential points of failure. The power supply for the MD11ED should be installed near the gate station to ensure proper operation.
On the other hand, the MD30 is an older unit. It requires four wires to connect the gate station and the handset. This additional wiring complexity can make installation and troubleshooting more challenging. Furthermore, the MD11ED and MD30 are not compatible with each other due to their different wiring requirements and internal configurations.
